Paypal being available again is awesome, and the more people knowing it (even by just changing the color to catch someone's attention), the better. Normally I agree with most of the things you say but that was definitely not a complaint. It was a legitimate suggestion to make the good news more noticeable and distinguish them from the bad news that normally appear on that color. I think you kind of flew over the limits of being critical and fell into the definition of 'condescending' over there. I was quite sure I would be attacked for posting it, but I did have the hope that it would make people stop to think: 'hey, paypal is back, does it really matter the color of the warning?' A green warning would look nice? Probably, but its hardly an important matter that would take our programmers from other important tasks. Then again, it DOES seem that you all consider it very important. Anyway, I'm not a programmer, but I think changing a color wouldn't take more than a couple of minutes, and if that change can make any difference, I think is it worth it. Red for things removed or faulty in the program. Green for things added or fixed in the program. Blue for informational uses [i.e. "There will be a Maintenance taking place..."]. I know I personally saw the Paypal Re-enabled notice and thought to myself, "LOL. It's Good News and it's in a Red Warning Box." People place a lot of subconscious informational value on colors.
