joe31800 Traffic Value: $6,016.01548 United States 20 like this post 0 people 01/09/2016 22:17 We all need to understand and remember that when the entire daily result was going to the FTQ, bills were not getting paid but rather getting behind and debt was ever increasing with new FTQ investments. Marc knew that was a dangerous path, and we had to change course. He admitted a couple weeks ago he was too optimistic with people continuing to buy ad packs and invest and the surplus he was anticipating was going to be considerably less unless ad pack purchases and results picked up. So anybody that was paying attention knew this was no slam dunk, but rather a challenge at best to make a serious dent in the FTQ debt and pull off a dividend payment. There should be no surprise that we missed the goal. In the investment world it's called "guidance", and that is exactly what Marc was providing us, guidance. The BMF hack was just the icing on the cake.  Now people saying Marc lied, or the company went back on their promises is just plain ignorant. A certain member keeps referring to a date in July, and referencing all the results since then, but references none of the bills during that same time period. Kind of a one sided view at best.  You can't have it both ways. If all of the results would have gone to the FTQ and dividends like some would prefer, what monies would have paid the bills? Remember? They weren't getting paid on time, and were falling behind the way we were dispersing revenues. Short sighted people want the FTQ paid and dividends NOW. That would be great today, but when tomorrow comes, and you are all getting Error:404, where would you go to b!tch? It's certainly not in any way doom and gloom though. This is a very complicated puzzle made up of many pieces. It will take a certain combination of moves to make this truly self sustaining.  What's the FREAKING HURRY??? The only people that truly lost money are those that bailed and cashed out. This is like a combination of investing and a reality show. Every day there is a new twist. If you invested money that was not "extra", then shame on you. If you NEEDED your money back by a certain date, then shame on you again. This is not an interest bearing savings account ya know. You are investing in a crowd funded company. I am looking forward to what Marc and the crew come up with to tweak it a bit more. They will figure it out.  I am just curious as to what long time, stable, problem free, secure, higher earning website is out there that people are comparing us to, or want MTV to be like. We are the pioneers here, plain and simple. You are either along for the ride, or not. You decide, but while you are making up your mind, quit trying to bring us down with all of your negativity. I think Carlos paid them, not because he thought $20k was feasible, but because they were (both of them) big investors and just couldn't be disappointed. It is like making somebody invest, and then tell him that you can't pay him back. Bad for the business. Of course i may be wrong (like most of the times). When you enter in the RPs market it says "Buy/Sell Royalty positions to earn weekly dividends." That's not true (Im not blaming for the No-Dividend, it's just that I found it today, nothing to do with the issue of today). The main reason for my investment was because of 2 people druth8x and MarcdeKoning. What is important to me is how the leadership handles a problem not the problem itself. I am very pleased with the way this obstacle was handled. My vision for what MTV can be in the future has been strengthened and I will continue to invest for the long term. Heck, I don't care about the dividends till MTV is fully self sustainable. In a business, bad days are always there. No matter how much security you put up, it can never be fool proof. But yes, one thing is there, people have just reached the lowest standards of morality. Nobody cares how they get money, they just want to get rich ASAP. Defensive reactions contra progressive must be the solutions. Cancelling dividends and disapointing a lot of people is a weak decision. This situation could have been an excellent opportunity for management to do something spectaculous - smacking to flyes in one. Sw@pping 5.000 usd to 1.250.000 shares would have been one of the easy solutions - I could mention a lot more. And we'd even have to spend programming time to give away a few RP's which are just as tiny as a $5k dividend, while we've been very clear not to make drastic changes in mtv's code anymore? We just skipped one month of dividends since it was announced its return. You're selling RPs like crazy and nothing has change effectively. Better get your RPs back as soon as possible because now a lot more RPs are in the holder's hands. Even in the old days when MTV was an hyip there were months without dividends. Chill out! Like vs. Disagree on this thread everyone seems to support the decision. Some people may have also bet on the dividend to take the shares higher and make a quick buck.
