I'm going to explain how we caught users, as we'll be installing the SolveMedia captcha this week. Which will make the current bot redundant anyhow. METHOD: (Copied straight from Lucas) Bots are working this way... first someone checks how our request process works, then code script to repeat it endlessly. For example: -login to account -check if there are some paid ads -if so, open first one -send POST request to server which looks like this: text1-someString&text2;-someString&text3;-someCaptchaString -read the response, if error repeat step above, if status is ok, wait ~30s+ -then send another POST which looks like finish=issueId... i.e finish=2222222 -check if there are some paid ads -if so, open first one and so on.. till all ads are watched. It has hard coded values, always sent 3 text inputs, then finish and that's it. Here is what we did: While someone finish an ad, we added additional parameter to sent, we called it googleAnalytics (made up name). So post is looking like this finish:222222&googleAnalytics=UA-00000-15 (some random string) If someone is watching ads normally, using computer, mobile device or even washing machine, he will send both values. If someone is using bot, he will send only finish, as he doesn't know something's changed. So, if someone didn't send us second parameter, we added entry to database with some random stats and let him watch ad without any error/notification. In this way their bots were working as normal, then didn't spot anything. There is no way to mistake... when someone load a page normally he will send this additional parameter without any problem. When someone is using a bot, we will catch him.There is no possibility for false signal.. that's why we have catched relatively small amount of users (few hundreds from 25k is not much). And we will punish only people with 5 or more ads watched using script. Consider yourselves lucky, as section 13 of our terms and conditions permits a complete account ban if you use a bot to cheat our system! * And to answer one users question, anyone using an imacro won't have been caught here. They're fine, as they don't try to cheat the captcha, they just pre-fill the copy & paste part, then the user does the rest like normal. ------ BITCOIN: We have installed BitCoin! Click on your balance at the top of the page and press Add Funds next to the BitCoin option. > It'll ask you to enter your address (we'll modify this soon; to accomodate bitcoin wallets that change your address constantly) - and then you'll see the deposit form. > Enter the amount you want to fund your account with, in dollars. Then using the current rate at blockchain; the system will tell you how much bitcoin to send to your unique address. You must send exactly that amount - or your deposit won't register. > As soon as your transaction receives 6 confirmations from the blockchain; your account balance will be funded automatically. * There is no deposit fee. (The form adds 0.0001btc to the amount automatically to allow for the BTC standard transaction fee) * Cashouts are currently charged at 5% + $0.25 per transaction. PROBLEM / ERROR: When we first installed this, the database didn't save the capitalization with your registered bitcoin addresses. So if your account has saved your bitcoin address in all lower case; please open a support ticket with your correct bitcoin address, and we'll update your account. * This may not be necessary in the next day or two; if we adjust the system to permit multiple BitCoin addresses. Then just make a transfer and wait for at lest 6 confirmations.
