It was obvious the cron jobs stopped working. This happens every time Jo decides to wait until the last second to do the daily ad issue and the actual issuing of the ads rolls into the next server day. Like right now, the ads are flowing fast and furious Why? because this is the slowest time for the traffic for the site. I cannot figure out, why you continue to wait until the last second, when you have stated numerous times, it only takes about 30 minutes to do the issue (minus ads uploading to the cron and the cron starting).  So why continue to wait until the busiest time for the site, as every time the cron stops or conflicts with the new day cron jobs. At 0000 server time or a few minutes after, start the daily news thread between 0030 and 0100 server time you do the daily ad issue and upload the ads and info to the cron (delay the start of cron job to not start issuing the ads until 0500 server time, this should allow enough time for the 1% cron to finish) After doing the daily issue upload, Program any random ad issues to start after the 1% cron has finished (they should still be done by 0500) The recycler cron should be set to run any recycles starting at 11 or 12 server time. By doing this, you would have less problems with the site, as most ads will have been issued before the traffic picks up, and probably 10% of the traffic is members refreshing the page to find out when and if the ad issue is done. When you wake up, post the daily issue totals, and any new news on the news thread. I think that is not enough time, just think a typical situation: Everybody sleeps 8 hours minimum, and then most people go to work / other activities during 8 hours, and of course you lose sometime between that, going and back, moving.... Then just think, if i would have gone bed right now without watching the ads, then i arrive at home with barely just 1 hour to view 60 + ads, so, most people can't even relax in a situation like this. I think it should be 21 hours at least. So you know, in case you miss one day issue by situations like these or other reasons, you still can return to your home and get your ads without having to literally reach the computer immediately or you start losing money. Who else thinks we need more time? I mean Paidverts has been through a lot of changes and they will continue as staff moves into bigger projects.... and as it grows i just think it should be more comfortable to watch the ads.
