This year was supposed to be HUGE and much better than last year. We got that for the first couple weeks and then it died down. Now he's planning on changing even more things to try to make it better (after the next swap if possible). Again, we need time to let ideas marinate. We can't just implement a new idea every time one pops up. It causes issues and problems that would have been prevented if proper planning was involved. This is crowd-funded. Meaning our investments go to making bigger ideas and products etc. However we need a little leeway with these ideas. We need to plan it as a whole. We can't keep having swaps every time things start to die down, that's not good for business. Rant over, needed to let a little steam out and some ideas as well. This week and the past few weeks have just been killing me. I've been on here for at least 6 months now (since my first investment. We might be running faster than the market can sustain, but people wont stop buying advertising if it is effective advertising. I know my referral rate for other sites is going up and if the income levels drop here, then people will be looking for other income opportunities. Also, if we can get the ad inventory growth under control and actually start to shrink it (which I believe Rich has accomplished), then the value of ads will go up too since the same amount of money will be chasing fewer ads. The money will be divided between a smaller pie and so more per click will happen. Maybe Rich is losing his confidence in being able to trade on the market. I always thought that was wrong anyway since the markets can be tricky. This is also why I have long suggested that some of the site earnings should go toward buying back shares and taking them off the market (and not held in a reserve fund but deleted) instead of all these share splits. Maybe 10% of all funds that go to development so that the shares are always becoming more scarce not more abundant. Once again, if you have the same cash flow coming into the site and shares are becoming less, then the average price per share is going to go up because there will be more dollars bidding for the same shares. However where I have been doing so many recycled packs I have made lots. The issue is that so far I believe only 1 good week in that time has happened when we got ads 6 days out of a week. Then it was something going wrong so no ads, then something else, and no ads, then he went on vacation, again no ads, he comes back with big ad issue and that messed up and no ads since. If he makes this into a real PTC site then there has to be ads every dang day. No matter if he gets a cold and is laid up in bed, the ads need to be sent out daily. Had he of put a certain amount for each group in the first place and never deviate from that, things would not have gotten out of control. Then if he wanted to send extra ads, he could have done that after the normal daily issue. But no Jo didn't do things the way it should have been done.
