I mean, for example i have my pin enabled and after this comeback of mtv as my mtv account was not logged out i've not been asked for my pin to buy shares. I would like if possible and not difficoult to add that feature to the security pin. I think it could be a great idea to ask user how much time he wants his pin to be enabled when introducing it. And then a drop down menu where you chould choose different times: 5min, 15min, 30min, 1hour, 2 hours, 12 hours, never. But there was not much data to post/change on the maintenance message, as even the system and db admins did not have knowledge of any exact ETA of when things would be sorted. But posting technicalities of the migration, every day there, which 99.9% of users would have no clue what they're about, would be pointless. Also, if we kept updating the maintenance page with some random/unsure ETAs that would be no good either - would just feel like posting excuses over and over. These are not some off-the-shelf sites that just need transferring files from one hosting provider to another. Moreover, the difference in server architecture is huge from what we had on iWeb, and this requires changing and tweaking tons of software & configs we use, to make sure everything works on the new architecture. We were preparing weeks for this move in hopes of having everything ready for a smooth transition, but unfortunately iWeb struck again, and caught us pants down during it. We have an amazing DBA and SysAdmin who were working huge overtime to get everything sorted. But unfortunately all of this tweaking is very time consuming as you can't move forwards until one thing is properly sorted. And meanwhile Polish programmers are catching up and getting things done, they'll likely make their first release this week. But more on that tomorrow.
