And good thing about TA vs regular banners is, that with TA you will be getting exact number of clicks/Views you are buying (no limit on impressions), whereas buying regular impressions you have no idea how many clicks you would get. Personally, I would use the two options as such - if you're looking for branding, it is likely better to go with buying regular impressions. If you are looking for a good CTR, TA is the way to go - actually turning your campaign "upside down", you could also take advantage of the potential unlimited impressions served by a TA, and create an ad/banner that would not stimulate the users to click on it at all, and merely serve as something they'd see. I would suggest doing A/B tests when using our targeted ads, especially for the first time, before deciding TA are the way to go for your campaign. As maybe what you think you need targeting for is actually unneeded and would not affect your campaign results positively. Basically I suggest doing something like this: Let's say you have a $100 advertising budget. Reserve some of that budget for testing various ad options, before deciding on which to use the rest of budget for, let's say 20% - $20. First use the test budget for setting up different campaigns, i.e.: - $5 in TA with "set A" targeting options - $5 in TA with "set B" targeting options - $5 buying BA with banner impressions - $5 buying any other of our advertising options, i.e. fixed ads Make sure to track them properly & then based on which of those perform best for you, use the rest of your budget on your best performing ad option. Just an example, but that's the golden rule advertisers should follow - experiment & test.
