Hi guys, imho if we talk about long term , i don`t think we would need reverse split because big companies has millions of millions shares any way. The price of the share will appreciate eventually.
I think we should get rid of the inactive share holders between 1-10 or 99 which will will help a lot in terms of the market and the traders also for the company,
but first thing first we should have a good steam of income. other stuffs just detail, all i know in investing world is figures talks...

yamibami the reverse split need to take place for the simple reason most of the RP were create from Swaps and a business starting out does not need 500 million shares out there. The company going to take a hit in the number of shares it owns too but the good part is with less shares they will be more profitable.

Last month, he was fined 10k baps for placing multiple selling bids at bap market with the intention of paying lesser fees, but I am afraid he was not aware why he was fined, or was fined at all!.

Guys, I need to ask you one question, cause it's always been hard for me to figure it out.

What will happen on RP market close to reverse split/transfer?
Will big players be willing to buy as much RP as possible? Or will they sell it?
Will they manipulate the market? Is it still possible for single person to manipulate the market?

I've been through couple of swaps and splits and I always made bad, or should I say, not the best possible decision, based on most popular predictions. I would like to avoid that mistake now.

What are your guesses?

@salman11227 ...no sw@p ..just make the RP amount smaller..currently we have 500M Rp total with current rp = 0.006usd per 1 RP...reverse split mean from 500M to 1M..so that price per RP =3usd...nothing change only RP value is higher with smaller amount...and we will change our website name and only verify member will be able to buy/sell RP in the future..

Would be nice that MTV do a better trading system... And would be nice if you could connect your trading client like MetaTrader to MTV, it would also be nice if MTV offers Leverage, 1:10 or 1:100 ant mtv get's a comission for this leverage, this would bring close mtv market to a real market.

I would really love the leverage option.

example:

you have 1000 shares, each worth 1$.
with reversle split with factor 500 you get 500x less shares which are worth 500x more.

from our example after reverse split you would have 1000/500= 2 shares (stocks) worth 500$.

before reverse split 1000 shares, each worth 1$, total value of your shares is 1000$.
after reverse split 2 shares, each worth 500$, totav value of your shares is 1000$

you dont lose anything, just number of shares and their worth changes.

(to avoid any confusion, speculations..)
Please remember, this is just an example, it has nothing to do with value of mtv RP (shares).

Well redigaffi, i think its a great idea but, only after the reverse swap, because right now one bigfish would be able to move the market either way up or down, and it would drive us to a market manipulation in my opinion. But after the reswap, when 1 share will cost more that's not gonna be option anymore, at least only for HUGE fishes

So its gonna be a good idea later and MTV would be able to earn from fees as u said.
After Mark will be back, i guess we should ask him what his oppinion about it

correct me if i am wrong from any aspect!

Both are purely psychological, but definitely count.

And i could agree more.
Psychology means alot. I talked with a few friends with serious money about mtv..
When i told them the price of our shares they were skeptical about it..
shares cant be that low they said.
Also you cant have 500M shares in circulation..
Apple can. And Google. But not we. Not for now.
Reverse split combined with real stocks will bring as to whole new investors and investing business..

So im planing to buy up as much shares as i can.
After reverse split, buying them with few dollars per day/ week/month wont be that easy.

Personally I do not see any difference if MTV has 500k or 50m shares. One share may be worth same as 1000 shares at the moment. It only means like Marc said not everyone can afford share of new platform, that also means less investors and less activity. I am not really sure so many "big" investors will come after legalization..

This is how a reverse split works:

I currently have 22k shares.
Current RP Value is $0.006
This makes my RP collection worth [in theory] $132.00

If Marc does a 500:1 reversal, I would then have (22,000 / 500) 44 RP [stocks/shares/etc]
The current RP market value would then be set to [in theory] (0.006 * 500) $3.00
My RP worth would be 44 * $3.00 = $132.00

What the value is after that is determined by Market Activity.

I wasn't here back when $0.50 became $0.05, but didn't $0.05 drop a bit (ofc back then it went from $0.40-$0.50 quite fast)?

Which means, at least at first, "$3" should follow suit and drop a bit.

Daytraders like their margins, and there is very little margins, unless we have $0.50 swings.

Less activity, maybe, as the daytraders would have to work extra hard, but I see them working the BTC trading platform so if they want, they'll find a way. Besides the blocks/sells/buys can be smaller to be just as effective.

Remember dividends will not need to be $5000 anymore, and so I see no reason why he couldn't give us $10/month. And, if he feels we are in a position to give $5000, we will be getting the same dividends as if we had RP's instead of stocks, so the stock price is justified.

Now, if lower lvl members can't scrape together $3/day, they still can every couple weeks, but the 3% fee will add up to the same.

Druth, what you are forgetting is that when the split happened the share price was artificially increased
