Choosing more lines is simply "speeding up the plays", and the MAJORITY of online slots use the principle of multiplying line wins by line bet and NOT total bet. Total bet is used to multiply wins in bonus games. It doesn't however make the game any less fair, as it's house edge is 2,9%, similar to the very simple version of slots PV already has, where the house edge is 2-3% as well. Most online slots have a higher house edge, often up to 5 or even 9%. Just refresh the page and if your click was recorded by the server you should see the result when refreshing(game state is saved). Refresh solves all issues that can be cause by lag or something(you won't lose anything without getting a result back). So just refresh and you will be fine.
