I have this question that bothers me from time to time...

People are funding another game... so that they can play and - theoretically - lose their money, right? Because the Company is not a charity fund, it does not give money and exists to take profit. And the Company's profit is when people lose money playing games.

So basically it's waste of time and money.

Correct me if I'm wrong.

Bartosh16 you are wrong. people invest in the new game. when it comes out and start making money they get there money back. Just like if you gave a small business money to start up. Once it get going they start paying you back.

Best part with this process is even the people that did not invest in the game get rewards from it because it put more money into the main company as it grows.

Ok, now listen.

You invest in this Company, the Company creates a game. Let's say, you invested 100$. Then you lose 110$. How much did you earn?

This is what bothers me. Some people win, some people lose, but overall there is this magical "house edge" that makes sure that Company always comes up top. So... Tell me again - why would I invest in a tool whose exeistence and sense is based on my unluck?

Lets go further - what happens when most of the people lose most of their money?

Bartosh have you seen a casino closing because of lack of people playing? Your statment does not make sense at all. And you know what means "freemiun games" ? They earn money from advertising companys, people "investing" in their game progress (reaching a higher level faster then a free user) and a hole lote more. Please make a research about freemiun and youll understand this new era were in, the smartphone era.

I think you misunderstood the meaning of word "invest".
If someone invests in a new game, it doesn't mean that he/she will play that game. Investors are investing so that company can create a new game with their money. Investors will get something (interest) in return. They will earn, not lose money.

Players are people who will lose money. At least most of them. That's solely their choice, no one is forsing them to play and potentialy lose their money.

Unless the game is a total flop how are you going to lose money. It a investment some work out some dont but with a game i think your odds are alot better of it working out then not. I cant think of to many game that are complete money loser over the short term. Now longer term due to the company running them ( Talking games over all here not just MTV games) some of them become money pits because of mismanagement and running off their players. even zygna with terrible games is still making money on them. if you dont know zygna or i misspelled their name I am talking about the creator off all the social media ville games.

I think you have missed the concept of investing if you invest any where in this company for example sumo roll and you are promised a certain percentage of return on your investment then after some time you will get that back there is no risk in that the only variable is the time .But after receiving your ROI if you decide to gamble and loose then there is no one to blame because no one is forced to gamble . And even then the house edge is not that high that you will only loose if some one gambles smartly he can win big . There are many examples of people wining big here which in return makes the daily result negative . So nothing is rigged here dnt worry .

And also you talked about "investing" in games, thats not how you make money here, playing games is based on luck, sometimes you win others you loose.... Are you seriously saying that the only way to make money here is playing games? Maybe you should ask for help to understand what to do here cause your a bit lost

Investing in Games is similar to investing in FTQ. FTQ is paid with the winnings of the house. Similarly, Investors are paid with the winnings of the house in Games.

@Bartosh16 how come u lose money when u investing unless u play the game..that not we called investment...that just deposited to play game ..in other hand you got your money in the balance..you not investing at all....play game u lose..that just gambling...and the profit will share to all investor...your statement totally wrong..

Wait what? this is going to be a Faucet so everybody is going to win money, company and users. I dont really get why are you questioning it in this topic. I could understand if u ask it in coinflip, roulette, draw poker... but IMO nothing to do with this specific game.

But seriously now, last time it was mentioned anything on this thread it was on the 16th Feb (a month ago, and one day after the estimated time) in a Vecor's comment:

"I am preparing an update for tonight with some preview of the game as well. Everything is working smoothly and according to schedule

So I would just like to know the reason of the delay. I understand if things don't go as expected, sometimes it happens, but I think that the users, especially the investors, deserve some explanation viavthe official chanels, which I believe it should be the project page and not this thread. Same thing for the marketing of the casinos, I know what the reasons are but they are lost in some daily news. Why not using the proper pages for it?

It's sad that I never believe in any ETA's that you give anymore

Maybe they are working to add earning for those who who invested in this project so they can immediately get earning once it makes money .. I hope that is the case

This is the only other mention that I found about Sumo Roll launch date by Marc on 08/03/17 in that day's daily news:

Tomorrow we're testing Sumo Roll, this should be the final first version.

We will add a shop and a "Panic Button" with which you will be able to blow up 1 enemy per level.
We will build the shop during the first few weeks after the launch.
The first week we won't market Sumo Roll either.
You, as our crowd, get an opportunity to fully run through the game for any potential errors which we missed.

Fingers crossed that we will be able to launch it on Friday!

I understand that whatever the reason that is taking so long is for everybody's benefit and I don't mean to be ungratefull. But not a word for over a month on the delay's reason just doesn't add to credibility for those that just come to MTV for the first time. Imagine that you convice somebody to invest in here, and they ask you questions about the reason that Sumo Roll and the casino's marketing campaigns are not live yet. All I'm saying is that we should use the propper comunication channels to let the investors know what's going on, instead of them having to wait for 365 days to see if they get their money back plus the 30%

UPDATE


- changed prizes structure,
- changed way of prize handling in app,
- updated unity to 5.5.2 due to many of fixes provided,
- added resources unloading and memory cleaning after changing scene,
- added modifications for claiming awards
- removed sleeper middleware

- added statistics module


The game is scheduled to launch in the coming weeks. There is not a 100% accurate day. Things can be delayed. There hasn`t been much updates lately as we`re taking some days off.

We are going to launch it soon, that`s a fact as the game is pretty much ready and this latest test version is working with no noticeable bugs.

The previous updates are looking like they have been changed and modified. That is probably why there are delays. It is taking up a lot more careful updating and testing since warclick came out with so many bugs that could not be fixed without the critical mass playing it. My guess it willl launch a lot more smoother than warclick. I am counting on this to be a gold mine and let do it right !

UPDATE

- added handling pause toggle after sumo hit,
- added destroying qr scan objects before scene change in order to free device memory,
- changed way of http requests from separate thread to async calls,
- updated collect stats command,
- added stats worker to kernel,
- removed redundant started_at and bought_at,
- added stats view,
- updated models docs,
- changed statistics fields types to bigint,
- added display for numeric values in admin panel,
- adjusted game default difficultly settings,
- added proper error info for dates,
- reverted player games views,

- added statistics worker.

Test v9 was released today (for internal test purposes only) and it`s the closest version to the final one! Most bugs have been ironed out so I believe v10 will be the first public version wink

Soon, very soon.
