They just reset it. Tomorrow or later today it will be just like yesterday. Then we will have to wait another 12 to 24 hrs for a programmer to get around to resetting the cron. This will continue to happen every day or 2, until they either totally rewrite the scripts, or stop the .0005 and .001 ads from recycling. A suggestion to possibly stop the recycler cron from clogging the ad system, would be to add code that it would put the undeliverable ad back into the ad pool at the end of 1 cycle if undeliverable. Meaning if the cron tries to deliver a .001 and goes through the entire list of members with the recycler upgrade and it goes undelivered, it drops the ad from the cue, and puts it back into the ad pool, for issuing at a later date. Since we have so much money in the development fund, we really need to hire people who specialize in nothing but cron scripts and DBase type stuff. This SHOULD have been done when the site was down after the BAP swap--or better yet, when the site was built in the first place. I am sure that your "average" or "good" programmer can handle basic crons. But as you rightly pointed out--this is a seriously complex cron. SO ORDINARY PROGRAMMERS ARE NOT WHAT WE NEED. We need people who do nothing but write cron scripts and work with dbase architecture, and cron architecture. When you need brain surgery, you DON'T go to your local doc--or a foot surgeon. That is, you don't go to them if you want your brain working right after the surgery....
