Default ad timers for NEW bulk ad purchases is now as follows: - 5s ad timers for default ad pack price of $1.05 - 15s ad timers for a small extra fee of $0.025 per ad pack ($1.075 total ad pack price) - 30s ad timers for a small extra fee of $0.05 per ad pack ($1.1 total ad pack price) The money from these extra fees goes into the ad issue pool. Later, we'll make it so, that paying the extra fee will automatically be applied to the minimum value of the ads for those campaigns, like so: - 5s ads will be distributed as a minimum of $0.0005 ads - 15s ads will be distributed as a minimum of $0.001 ads - 30s ads will be distributed as a minimum of $0.0015 ads And when we do that we might also add another one or two different ad timer extensions in the following weeks, such as 60 seconds - but first the minimum ad value change has to be applied for that to make any sense/be worth for users to click on. NOTE: Past ad purchases are NOT affected by this change - all bulk ad purchases made prior to this change will have all of their ads delivered with 30s timers. NOTE: As you'll notice the new, simplified captcha isn't live yet, as we're still looking into the best solution with Kamil, and as soon as we find one we'll be putting it live, to make ad view process much quicker and enjoyable for the users. As we realize the current google/solvemedia captcha isn't best compatible with 5s ad views. But even without the improved captcha, viewing ads (but only ads promoting newly purchased ad campaigns) should still be much less of a chore than up till now. Daniel and Paul are spending most of their hours preparing for their increased team starting June, and there's tons of work to prepare for all that properly, that most of you likely won't understand/think about. Setting up local repositories, different levels of access, local ticket systems, ssh access, contracts, NDAs, preparing tasks/work & workflow procedures, security protocols, employee-safe databases so they can't dump MTV's databases with sensitive info etc... Basically everything that will be needed to ensure that none of the employees can cause harm to MTV/PV in any way, and to make sure that they will be able to manage the bigger team effectively, delegating tasks and overseeing their work properly. Plus, what they are preparing will serve as a basis for all of our future programmers/programming offices. Hard to imagine how much work/hours actually needs to be put into these things until you start dealing with something like this yourself. Even setting up one of those elements properly can take days. That's why there's been little progress on, for example recycled ads distribution, which is Daniel's priority focus when he can get some time off preparation work. So nothing has been forgotten about, and I'll post more details when I get more time myself. And delivering ad views in time is under control, I'm keeping an eye on that weekly. It's just that, there won't be any $0.0005 of longer than 5sec, $0.001 longer than 15sec, $0.0015 longer than 30sec. Meaning, if you get a lower valued ad, the timer won't be too long.
