What do you think of this...

$15 investment units.
... $5.00 - gameplay budget!
... $8.50 - portfolio dev funding @ 3.6x
... $1.50 - shareholder weekly dividends contribution

1) When you invest, you join the fast track queue!

2) You also have to play our games! With the $5 amount of money you have. We'll set some terms with this;
- minimum of 25plays
- minimum of $5 total bets
- game over @ -$5.00
- submit your 'score' (take home money / gaming profit / money you didn't lose) at any point thereafter.

Then the payouts work like this:

Top 1/3 of scores submitted each week, get fast tracked 280% ($42.00)
Bottom 2/3 of scores submitted each week, get fast tracked 166%

And in addition to those fast tracks; whatever money you don't lose at the games. Is yours to keep, as instant ROI.

-----

Gaming losses, thereby serve as the "instant result contribution" to our daily portfolio.

Referrals earn via regular gaming commission.

------

We can play with the variables... like rather than 1/3 vs 2/3 payout plans; we could make it much more complex. Have a top score jackpot; then a prize table thereafter. Paid via ROI % in the fast track queue.

Could be fun?
Bit complex to build... as we have to track the gameplay quite carefully. But it would definitely be a novelty investment plan!

Would skill games be included?  Say play 10 games of solitaire for 5 cents each and 5 games of solitaire for 50 cents each and play 10 games of shut the box for 10 cents each and 1 game of shut the box for 1 dollar which ads up to 26 games played for $5?

I think the

... $1.50 - shareholder weekly dividends contribution

are great. So this seems to be a good one!

It sounds hard to sustain.

Top 1/3 of scores submitted each week, get fast tracked 280% ($42.00)
Bottom 2/3 of scores submitted each week, get fast tracked 166%

The actual return to sustain would be 204%.  For every 3 gaming units sold for $15 each, $91.80 has to be paid out.  The winning unit would get $42, the losing units would get $24.90 each.  $45*2.04=$91.80.

so, you're telling me by investing in this plan and gambling your money away, in the end, you actually cannot lose? the system returns you profit in any way, depending on the time?

Pretty much. It's an investment that encourages gameplay basically.

And the sustainability is no different to our other investment plans. The portfolio development money must return 3.6x its cost. That's standard across all our plans.

I suppose skill games could be included... Though their lack of instant payout will make the programming a challenge! .. As you'll have to leave the result as "pending" until the end of the server day.

----

But i'm thinking to run this as a weekly thing. Investments are permitted Monday until Saturday. Then all gameplay scores must be submitted by end of server day on Sunday.

And at that point; the prizes will be known and your fast track queue positions can be updated.

----

And perhaps make a prize table something like this:

Based on groups of 100 investment units.
($570 prize pool over and above the basic $24.90 / 166% ROI)

1st...... + $200 .... (1499%)
2nd...... + $50 ..... (499%)
3rd...... + $30 ..... (366%)
4-9...... + $20 ..... (299%)
10-25.... + $10.625.. (236%)
26+...... + $0 ...... (166%)

So long as there is at least $1500 each week going into the gaming investment plans, that prize table looks great.  What would the table look like if 199 units were sold?  Would there still just be a 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place prize then perhaps 4-17th place get 4th place prizes then 18-49th place get 5th place prizes and 50-199th place get 6th place prizes?

Perhaps tack on 1 extra 5th place price for every 10 units over 100 and 1 extra 4th place prize for every 20 units over 100, beyond the regular 6 4th place prizes and 16 5 place prizes for every 100 units.

We can probably calculate the bonuses per investment sold.

eg. $200 / 100 investments = + $2 per investment.

-----

My main concern with this plan is tracking the gameplay... Going to be an adventurous build I think. It'll have to wait until we've got full time staff; and absolutely out of urgent things to do!

Would it be easier to track if it was programmed to where every $5 of gaming money created by every $15 gaming investment unit sold was assigned a special wallet with identification number that could easily be referenced and catalogued to determine gaming results for comparison with others in a given time frame?  Then investors can see how their winnings compare with other winnings that week too.

It reminds me a little bit of experimental fund, and seems like a tempting portfolio product! I guess mtv needs more fundings

I think tracking of the gaming is simpler than that...

We just log all gameplays made after the time of the investment, on a special page... Listing each play, and the cumulative change in your gaming balance.

Then a button will appear after 25 plays, and $5+ in total bets; allowing you to submit your score, there and then. Before you potentially play anymore and lose some / all of it.

And the instant your cumulative change goes to -$5 or more ... your score is submitted as zero.

---

The issue I foresee; is if people bet more than $5 with their gameplay... As then you're technically playing with more money than you should be. But I don't think that's a bad thing specifically.

As if you lose, you'll lose more than $5... and instantly 0 score your submission. But if you win, and double up a $100 bet for example. Then you'd log a +$100 score, or even more if you keep playing.

So that could be a way to "cheat" or for big users to take a chance to get the jackpot on their investment. But they'd be taking a big chance to achieve that.

------

And rather than groups of 100 investments... I think doing it per period of time would be better. All scores submitted between ___ and ____.

With each submission adding to the prize pools for the top 25 scores, or 25% of scores.

-- What do you think people would prefer? 1/4 chance of getting a bonus return, or up to 1500%. Or 25 out of an unlimited number of submissions for a jackpot that could be enourmous if thousands of investment units are purchased.

eg. If $2 per unit is added to the jackpot. And there are 5000 investment units bought that week. The jackpot would be $10,000+... for your little $15 investment.

I really like the jackpot idea and the $5 change in gaming page.  An investor would have incentive to get a $15 investment unit, then go place a $100 bet on roulette.   It would make it a lot easier to win $100 and have a better chance at the jackpot than just playing with the $5 given from the unit itself.

And I suppose we could mark your investment as "pending" until you submit your score. That way, you're forced to play the games - otherwise your investment will never enter the queue.

And skill games we'll have to consider carefully.. but I think we will be able to permit them. We'll just have to be careful not to mark the play as a loss on your cumulative score until the outcome is known.

25 quick 20 cent spins on roulette would get a score submitted and entrance into the queue really quick.  Or perhaps 24 spins and a long shot play at lucky numbers that could buy another unit if the player wins.  $2 from every unit for a weekly jackpot prize would spice things up a lot.

Skill game players may have to wait until after the end of the day to submit if they get the high score for the day or month, so they would have to wait until the next day to enter the queue, either automatically or manually if their losses are over $5 or they haven't placed 25 bets yet.  It would be interesting if the first player to shut the box also won the jackpot.

It could also be designed to where the jackpot is split between the top scoring player and the top 25% of players.  That might be the most attractive setup for the most players.  You could pay out the prizes around the same time stock dividends are issued.
