This is a widget but the problem is that the Admin Panel from PPMG doesn't have editing access for it It's just text, should be a pretty simple tweak but this change requires one programmer to do it and we no longer have a full-time programmer to help us anymore. They are contacted as we need them Fortunately, we do have slosumo who's been setting up these events for us! We have millions of members but only about 5000 active clickers. Many join but aren't willing to click for pennies. Maybe in the future, we can develop a system where clickers move up the ranks to earning relatively quickly to keep them active but we don't have that now so many will join and drop. In fact AWS has been (too) lenient with us on this in the past, and seems to have just caught up on that, after having several severe delays in handling those. The problems arose from: 1) Not having a good "normal business setup", as transferring money between processors, to exchanges, then wiring in and out takes a long time, and requires proving the transactions. This is something that has always hurt us, and is unlikely to change. 2) Spanish team generally have a poor way of handling any support issues, creating multiple issues, not being clear etc. causing additional delays. Though in this case there seems to also have been some miscommunication on AWS's support side that caused additional delays. 3) Delaying paying invoices "until the last day", to save on exchanges fees, volatility etc. And also to try and not cut into our liquidity/user balances. It's been clear they will be stepping up on these delays since December, and this simply can't happen again, as it creates so much lost revenue & maintenance & opportunity costs, it's ridiculous, and no matter the liquidity situation, server invoices simply can't be delayed any more. otherwise the situation just gets worsened. And I wouldn't compare this with the paypal situation, as with PayPal seizing money they get to keep it and make 30-50x compared to maintaining operation and getting fees. AWS gains nothing from losing us as a future client - but obviously, as any serious business if there are repeat delays they have to act on that to prevent further losses on their side. Regarding several providers/changing provider, it's not that simple mainly because: - Would require a ton of work, as we are using many of their services, and it's not 100% straightforward to move. Of course it would be ideal, however, that a massive cost we obviously can't afford - Most other services would end up costing more, while providing us with less (or cost us more in maintenance and sys admin being "100% competent" with AWS" - Downtime interrupted us before this could begin, but once we do a tech cleanup, it will allow us to minimize our costs here further. * Sites are on one service, to reduce costs. The tech world is changing as I'm sure you're aware. These companies are trying to monopolize their power and as the world slips into economic troubles they may get a little more aggressive.
