How strongly would you object to a "BAP Tax" for PaidVerts?Whereby, the system would deduct a fixed 5 BAP from each account (active or not) each day at a fixed time. Until your BAP reaches zero. My reasoning is that I want to try and balance the books as much as possible. As we give away up to 500 BAP per day per user, plus account milestone bonuses... And that is offset via recycling, and gameplay. And adding in this tiny tax; would further help keep that in check. 5 BAP = $0.0025 in value -- nothing really. Over a whole year, that amounts to $0.91 in earning potential. Plus just view 1 activation ad every 20days; and you get it all back. I say this because individually that's nothing; but collectively it adds up: 3000 users = 15,000 BAP ($7.50/day or $2737/yr) 30,000 users = 150,000 BAP ($75/day. $27375/yr) 250,000 users = 1.25m BAP ($625/day. $228k/yr) 1,000,000 users = 5m BAP ($2500/day. $912k/yr) So in terms of making the business more viable at scale. This small thing adds up! ---- Anyway, just probing the waters right now. There's no rush (or time!) to implement this; as it holds next to no value whilst we're small. But something we'll strongly consider as we grow.

For me it is OK5 BAP = $0.0025 is nothing But I thought that you were going to do that in accounts that went inactive but still have BAP on their account.

the only thing is that for free users you must have a clear statement where the BAP is going,so it won't start a bad reputation of missing BAP earnings some will notice and scream why my BAP decrease more than i get in AD's and that's its unfair to active users best to be so informative as possible

I don't think this would bother anyone but perhaps the smallest of PTC clickers. But as rrt aid, if this is nicely pointed out to each user then I don't think there should be problems. In a way 5 BAP sounds even too little. I think you could easily go up to 10-20BAP/day, or at least tax bigger accounts a bit more - you could use the same groups you use for ad distribution.

Ok great. And this idea is separate to the dormant account thing we were thinking about. This is just a general day to day part of how PaidVerts will work... We'll implement a separate system for accounts that are specifically inactive / dormant / abandoned. But again, no huge rush. These are more cleaning up type tasks to do, once we get a bit bigger.

Idea is fine for me, when it is a small tax.And I think it is fair to let bigger accounts pay more taxes. F.e.: 0-10k: 5 BAP per day 10k-50k: 10 BAP per day 50k-250k: 20 BAP per day etc.

There's no need of BAP tax, site is stable and will remain stable. Site's future is bright. But instead we hope that site may provide more relaxation and offers indeed. Nice site

Perhaps allow for a one-time payment to not have to pay fees? (But it would take you like a year to break even on that, just for the long-term thinkers)

The bap tax is in the pipeline. I don't think any exceptions are required. The cost to the individual is negligible. But it's valuable to the business. |
