Todays fast tracks have been sent!

MyTrafficValue is now accepting BitCoin:
http://mytrafficvalue.com/forum/news/bitcoin_now_accepted/1.html

We've installed the new games index page:
http://www.mytrafficvalue.com/games.html

There's still a few kinks to iron out; some incorrect classifications of games etc. We need to get the Loto working. And it's also reminded me about the Shut The Box rebuild. I really like that game; but the current competition structure makes it unplayable.

We're still working on the SSL thing. Once that's up and running we'll install BitCoin properly, and that'll open some doors to some mini subsidiary websites we can build real fast.

Neteller and Payeer are also in the pipeline for additional currencies. And Skrill should appear at some point also. But that might be a while.

Rayner has been working on the new MTV website design; later this week we might actually have a homepage proposal worth showing you.... However, the redesign won't be deployed until later this year; as it's not just a new homepage; it's an entire new interface + navigation.... Basically an entire replacement website pretty much. It'll take several months to get it all ready, and every page / section how we want it... And then finally the programmers can install it. But it's a nice hobby project to work on in the background.

Also I believe on Monday, Daniel will have completed his committments to his current job. And will be in a position to bill unlimited hours for MTV. So fingers crossed for a spike in our productivity as that happens.

I've purchased a 1 week banner at Money-News-Online for PV; http://money-news-online.com/blog/ ... we've never managed to interact with this group of investors until now. So it's a worth a shot I reckon.

Todays PV ad issue will begin rolling out in an hour or two... I'll do some support tickets first, whilst I wait for the random ads to finish rolling out.

Thanks Jo.

Hope this is not off topic. Two questions @Jo:

1. What is the oficial GMT time for receiving the paid ads on PC?

2. What is the BAP debt?

Thanks

Hi, Jo. Good day to you smile . I have a great feature for Paidverts. The feature is "autofocus". As there are many high value ads in Paidverts and fro 30 seconds, there should be autofocus so that user have to stay on the ad page to view ad and earn money. It will also bring the attention of the user to the ad and more users will come up to buy more ads and it will also make the site more BIG!! grin . Thanks.

There's no fixed time for receiving ads at PV. The daily ad issue varies across all times of the day, depending on when I issue it; and when the cron queues physically process / issue the ads to you.

BAP debt is the total amount of Bonus Ad Points in user accounts. And thereby you can calculate the amount of paid ads required to zero all user accounts of all their BAP. (eg. Repay everyone in full)

But that'll basically never happen; as you can always get additional BAP for free.

And forcing the view of the ad has been mentioned before; and worth doing. We'll get to it at some point.

Focus on the ads?
I think PV has enough features that annoy users
and exclude cheating. So please relax a bit.
After all any high value ad has cost the same, when it was bought.

As advertiser I don't want annoyed users, because they are not the best of customers.
And as user I don't want to be annoyed.
It is an offer that should attract focus, if it needs forced focus, it is not good.

We'll treat it like any other payment processor; with the usual caution and minimal exposure to risk.

I think the cheap ads should be on the list as a top product to launch as quickly as possible. They could be issued instantly upon purchase to many unique users. That would help lower BAP groups earn more and it would also reduce BAP debt. Another plus is it would consume BAP of free members without a filter. So there would also be tons more recycled ads. You could also lower the minimum purchase to just $0.10 for 10 visits. Remove the first two copy paste lines and reducing the timer to 15 seconds. You could even leave the options for added banner impressions just like the bulk ads.

It would also be good to start more automated ad issues. That would reduce the number of visits waiting to be delivered. I have a few referrals that do not feel like the traffic here is very good. For some reason they believe that traffic exchange traffic is better quality. The visits should be spread out so traffic is as unique as possible and delivered quicker. PaidVerts would be leaps and bounds above any other Traffic Exchange or Paid To Click type site. It already takes so much time waiting for visits that get recycled. I think the visits should get distributed much faster then they currently are being delivered. I also noticed there is a huge backlog of 728x90 impressions. That makes sense though since it is only displayed in one location.

I think with as solid as this model is the site should be swamped with low value ads. Then it makes everything function more as intended. Those who cannot or will not click small ads will purchase the filter. The amount of BAP consumed just from recycling should be a huge BAP debt reducer.

I know this is a long post already but I thought of an idea for the daily issue. Maybe you can set each BAP group to its own time slot. Then just could queue up each groups daily value and then members can know roughly what time to expect ads depending on their group. Then you can still distribute from small to big BAP groups without causing double ups.

BTW please do not add the timer focus I feel with the current captcha system it is unnecessary. The focus option is the main reason why it is so hard to keep active referrals on clixsense for example.

We have so much programming work to do; a lot of good ideas queued up. We need them all!

And don't worry about the ad issues; it's not a problem at the moment. You'll get your daily ad issue at some random point throughout the day. Then you have 18hours to click on those ads. So just check your account once early in the day, and once in the evening. And you'll won't miss anything.

About focus ads, I think it's not a good idea, because if a member buys an upgrade to get recycled ads and buys super user upgrade imagine how many ads he's gonna get, well I can imagine, because a couple of days ago I got about 150 ads, focus view on 150 ads that last 30 seconds, it's totally insanity. w00t

Hey Jo,

I got an idea about activation ads to lower the BAP you give for free.

First of all, I think the current activation ads should be split in two kinds.

The first one would be a single which give no BAP at all, but works as the activation ad.

Then, the others would be the free BAP ads.

So, everybody would have one Activation ad only. It would spend the ad credit faster and it's (imo) a clearer system.

This way, every big user (as me) would not click the BAP ads, but only the activation ad, so PV would give very less free BAP's.

Another feature could be that PV just don't give free BAP's at all to members who reached a specific BAP group.

For example, I think the 12k+ group could be the bottom limit where PV doesn't give free BAP's anymore. I don't think people would whine a lot since 12k+ BAP group usually earn $0.10+/daily.

You could apply this rule to 24k+ BAP group if you think it's better.

I think the BAP debt would reduce significantly from these two add-ons. What do you think??

Why not keeping all accounts active, so they still getting ads (also when people do not look at it anymore, like when it is inactive). This will lead to a whole bunch of BAP cleared! The more, the better!

Why are so many against the forced view?  If most ad-viewers are switching windows/tabs and only giving a couple seconds to the ad(as it seems like most are here) , then why have it 30 seconds in the first place? The advertiser is not getting the 30 seconds he paid for.
IDEA: Maybe offer forced views as an added option for the Targeted Ads.  This will be an additional revenue maker.

@jamespaul
it is not that iam aginst that...

but thinking in this "age" most do other thing when ads are in television so basically its hard to force especially when we can do other thing even if the browser is forced to view ads

we can even close our eyes LOL, but yes forced view is both good and bad as some has multiple desktops/mobiles

we look at that we are interested in, advertisment is a hard business
