well, marc, I support billionare on his devotion to EF even if it's 1$ fund it doesn't matter, what matters is that fund is in the portfolio and that means it is contributing to the whole system and has the chance to explode as any other portfolio product but it doesn't seem attractive.
Something has to be done about Experimental Fund, that's already clear.

If the EF is really such a burden to the mtv then Jo might as well just remove it from portfolio completely or tweak it.

Thanks @tupko I know you understand the reason of my devotion.

Now Marc, you are right as well. EF does not worth "at the moment" 1 or 2 hours work specially when other products and PV is exploding BUT there's A HUGE AND REAL REASON FOR THIS TO BE HAPPENING. The reason behind is INACTIVITY as EF has been frozen or discontinued since last debt swap. It is NOT what is used to be indeed AND IT'S NOT MEMBERS RESPONSABILTY OR BLAME ON THE PRODUCT !

Tell me please, If you had $1000 to invest right now where would it be? Of course you would not choose EF at the moment when results are given weekly

and uncertain reigns therefore you would choose PV or any other "predictable" and ACTIVE product.

I bet if EF comes back to the scene as It used to be in golden days WE WOULD BE HUNDREDS INVESTING OVER $100 DAILY(realistic I know what I am talking about) and with that happening, just make your maths....

I know I might annoy some of you with my persistance regarding EF but if anytime the product comes back to glory...YOU WILL UNDERSTAND MY PERSISTANCE.

Remember Marc, ANYTHING YOU WATER...WILL GROW. You guys water PV and other products and that's why such a great and deserved success.

I have been alone in the dark watering EF and referring people to it for several months regardless no one of you gives a damn about it. No probs I will keep doing it because that's the concept myself and my referrals got to love MTV. Is it a penny product right now? yeah...no probs we search for genius concepts....big money will come then easily

Anyway, keep travelling the city by comfortable cars, you deserve it. I still point at the Ferrari which lies with dust in our garage

@MisterGreen, Thanks for the question. Both I will say... I will buy stocks or shares because I am aiming for the top and I am here for the long haul. My objective, probably like many of us... is to see MTV become the best in its industry. Because if MTV become the success that I see in the numbers, I too, become a success.
Also, I will invest 250 %.

And above all, I will reinvest and reinvest, pay myself later.... basically, following Mr. Earl's Model.

By the way, I have already started implementing the above plan

billionaire, you're right. I'm sure if EF was taken care of daily that there would be tons of more people participating in it and the revenues it created would be much higher. I loved to play in it back in a day, it's a cool product indeed if you play smart.

But as marc said Jo can't spend 2 hours on it daily currently. There's so many other important things he first has to take care of every day. Pv ad issue, results, news, TONS of support tickets, TONS of cahouts etc. First the programmers will have to put a system in place to support multiple staff and only then Jo will be able to focus on other important pending issues, such as EF.

the same plan as i have and i had it for more than 3 years but is now it pays of, started with tiny numbers so all that want financial freedom should follow the stream

The EF fund will keep plodding forwards... the last week has been truly crazy. And I seem to have a routine established of completely forgetting about the EF; even with you reminding me every other day lol.

I'll get back to it as best I can... In the next few weeks; my workload should begin to transition away from repatitive chores, and back to concept designs / planning the forward motions of MTV... And i'll have more time for the EF definitely.

Why would you scrap 2 portfolio products which have given us some revenues, are still giving them, and sooner or later will bring us even more money???

It doesn't matter if they are currently in more or less stall-mode.

These products took some time to be built and some nice money was used in the process.

More revenue products we have better for the business even if all of them are not immediate success.

ok, sure - coz current trends in the industry show that advertising WORKS and advertising PAYS. I happen to a big fan of the MONITOR and would like to like to see the EF in full effect. However, the MONITOR fills from the bottom up, SO, if there is not enough players then you only earn .125 cents!

well @inditech, if you compare MONITOR with EF tells that you do not understand anything about systems or concepts.

It tells that you did not get to understand the product at all but maybe not interested in expanding your vision.

If you want to remove a product just because big investor do not trust at the moment(with reasons) and you are not interested in understanding why many of us are talking about its potential in order bring an amazing stream back...then there's nothing to chat about.

well, isn't the point of good businesses attracting all kinds of investors, big and small? I know the bigger is better and more preferable, but smaller investors are not to be underestimated because their power lies in numbers.

anyways, at least we got someone caring for EF, that means a lot

So I've watched the youtube clip, and started looking for a job as a parking lot caretaker in the financial district of Amsterdam.

All joking aside, what's the main lesson ? Think long-term, reinvest rather than pocket the money? Also he speaks of stocks all the time, but given the 0 financial growth of European GDP for the last 6 years, not sure if that's such a viable option. Perhaps stocks from non-European companies are an idea.... I've spread my € into savings accounts, crowd funding and other projects such as MTV.

@ MisterGreen, just as Jo pointed out on the 26/06/2014 09:49... that was a home-run

comment or in other words a lesson for all investors here at MTV. The bottom line is reinvestment. Maybe, the stocks in EU based companies aren't a hit at the moment but just on a side note, doesn't that sound like buy opportunity if one does a thorough research about a given company of interest. I know many investors wait until a certain company is making a certain killing profits, when all seems green and every one of them flock towards that direction.... and then the stocks become crazily expensive or unaffordable to many. That's like investing in a hype rather than underlying value of the investment and sooner or later there is a bubble and we all know what happens when the bubble bursts... the bottom line is, for us to do our research and see if the company or stock of interest is undervalued. If it is, damn... that is a strong buying opportunity, I say this with very strong indicator because there is a huge potential of growth. Look at the numbers, everything being equal, numbers do not lie

I think your strategy is great... crowd funding and projects like MTV are disrupting the traditional funding models especially the venture capitalist (VC). I think it is only a matter of time VC will be a thing of the past... if crowd funding can hold strong to its credibility and keep helping small business owners or MTV keeps shipping great products off-the-shelf. There is still a huge potential of growth if the reputation is handled well.

I would like to know more about what to pay attention to when deciding to buy or sell a stock. I am pretty clueless at the moment. Do you do stock trading ? Perhaps we can talk about it on skype.

As for crowdfunding, I also think that's the way forward. People have incredible amounts of savings, in the Netherlands alone like 400 billion dollars, on which they lose a % each year because inflation is actually higher than interest...Many people are sick of that and trying to up their yields. At the same time, banks have become so conservative that they won't lend easily anymore to new startups, which are the drive behind innovations and growth. So no wonder people came up with the idea of lending directly to one another, cutting out the middle man. I hate and distrust banks, they're responsible for screwing up so much.....I don't even want my savings to be parked there but it's better than an old sock I guess.

CF ROI is about 5% per year, by the way. Higher than savings accounts and much better too because we're dragging the economy out of its stasis. I'm going to reinvest my MTV break-even money into various CF projects.

But ah I musn't divert too much from the topic or forum

Would be nice to see, though, that in the future MTV could use some of it's $$ to lend it out to new startups at a reasonable interest. The crowdfunded crowdfunds.
