jordy186 Traffic Value: $868.5955 Netherlands 6 like this post 0 people 09/04/2018 19:44 I have been trying out after a long time the mini upgrade and i cant say that i am impressed at the moment about the results. I know how it all works but at this rate it is going to take a few weeks before i even reach the 3$ in ads ( now 44c in 5 days). Maybe it would be a good thing to make these upgrades more attractive that it really becomes a weekly thing again. Maybe it would be a good thing if we cut those prices in half to $1.49 and $9.99 I dont think it will cost the site as all the ads generated will cost bap too so specially on the big upgrade it seems impossible at the moment to really make a profit after rebuying the baps. I know its not the purpose of those upgrades but i dont think it is the purpose of it that members lose money on it. I guess it would be a nice thing if we can get those upgrades changed to the better for the members. What about the option to be able to buy a 1 day mini upgrade for like $0.25....if you dont get 25c in ads next day it automaticly get extended 1 day. You have all the information there and can calculate really well what would bring the members on avarage at break even point. Also based on past results you can figure out what the weekly avarage amount of ads will be for the different upgrades. like 90% of the upgrades should be expired after 1 week where like 10% max get an extra week to minimize the risk. It would give people a goal to work towards rather than just hope that they might be somewhere close. Obviously, the levels change every day as users points potentially change every day, but obviously whoever issues the daily adverts knows what the current cut-off point is because they determine the value of achievement ads sent out. You could even give this information out in the Paidverts forum (if you want to stimulate activity there) along with the daily ad issue info.  It'd give users a reason to look there and then some would hang around. Personally, I'm in the 5% group.  I have no idea if I'm just hanging on to that or near the 1% group.  If I knew I was close, I would definitely try harder to get there...or if I knew I was just hanging on, I'd try to maintain my group. I highly doubt they know the actual cutoff points on any given day. They could potentially track down users they feel are on the edge but that is way too much work for Andraz (unless he is on vacation, or Marc when he isn't on vacation.) It's all automated. That said, if they could write a program to generate those numbers (heck real time -maybe 15min or 1 day delayed - on an APS page), that may help motivate members to adjust a bit more to get to the next lvl. That said, the reverse may also be true, if the next is far away, in their minds, there is little incentive to do small tasks to get there one by one.  For one, the Daily Login will always keep us old timers with a nice advantage over any newcomers. There main hope is that the pie grows so the higher % pies has more room for them as well. We'll be going over this idea in today's meeting, so we'll let you know our decision about it then, but from my own thinking, I can't see a viable way of really doing this at this time. They also liked many of those 'stupid' ideas you talked about in the past. It is very much guesswork on the success of a product. What you don't want to do is put a lot of money into a product that you don't know will work. At least we are starting to focus on the products that are bringing in revenue now. Its also the same thing with the recycle upgrade. I think with the paidverts system is should be so that upgrades expire in an X amount of time so users can rebuy the upgrades. it is also a source of income for the site. Every single ad that recycled from now onwards, will be directed at either you, or another upgraded user, until you receive $1.00+ worth of recycled ads. That could be 2000* $0.0005 ads. Or if you're lucky, a single $10+ ad! You have received $0.759 of $1.00 worth of recycled ads since 08/20/2017 - 21:51:38 If you see my upgrade above then you see it is almost 8 months ago that i purchased it. I know the reason is that there is not enough ads being recycled in the system but i guess if there is no ads for a product available then there is no point keeping the upgrade option alive. In the past we were always bombed with ads and for that we have added the option for the ad filter. The other option is to bring more ads into rotation so people start buying the upgrades and adfilters again which generate more activity. Isnt it an idea to just give more instant visits to the adpacks? Right now if you buy an adpack at the right time just before an ad issue you sometimes get like 2000 visits for 1$. If you buy it during the day you get like 50-60 visits. Why not give at least 100 visits for an adpack to get more smaller ads into rotation and get more possibility that the upgrades start to be worth it as well ? Also i am not really sure how many people do buy a membership in paidverts. It seems like its not really a profitable thing to buy.  Why not try to come to a solution where all those 3 upgrade types are combined with the memberships instead. like the example below For 5$ you get 1 month bronze upgrade which include: * 1% ads (1$-10$) *recycled ads  *1 micro adpack daily *reduced fee PIF 4% for silver  7.50$ a month *1% ads (11-50$) *recycled ads  *2 micro adpack daily *reduced fee PIF 3% for gold 10$ a month *1% ads 50+$ *recycled ads *3 micro packs daily *reduced fee PIF 2% *click grid free  * NO Bap Tax druth8x Traffic Value: $22,417.44153 United States 0 like this post 0 people 17/04/2018 17:24 jordy, those Membership upgrades aren't worth it either, at those prices, (1% ads aren't being created in way comparison to how many old SUU are active waiting for ads)...I do think that we should spread out the hits better 60 vs 2000 or whatever is ridiculous. I also doubt that more ppl will be recycling too matter in reagrds to getting recycle be worth it. NOTE: when doing the "worth it" math, you have to realize the cost to reacquire the BAP spent in getting those Ads (1%/Recycle/MAP). BTW, I was well over 1 year (maybe even 2 years..somewhere on MTV forum I "ranted" about it) on my Recycle Upgrade, you still got some time, and it's not like the nickels are worth their time in revenue to try and improve the product.
