Hey Mtv community.

I have been out of internet connection these days so I am a bit late to express my thoughts about the current situation.

First of all, all the best wishes to the new Ceo, Marc. He was quite helpful to me on facebook before being Ceo. I am sure he will help the mtv to grow more and more, safely.

My thoughts are:
-You have 2 ways to go, Marc. You either register the company asap, licence the games or close all the games partly and produce/sell real products.
-If you decide to register, I don't think it will be hard to do as there are lots of licenced gambling sites. Go to their country, talk with them, take some advise upon the process. And do it. It is now obvious that Jo was not licensing the company intentionally to hide his theft.
- If you ask for advise, I suggest you to search for Cyprus gaming companies, gambling is legal there.
- I think we have enough dev fund to pay for the licencing. After registering the company, sue Jo. Let him keep the btc now, he will regret that later.
- If you choose the other option (turning into a real product company), there are tons of ideas in brainstorm section about real products.
We cannot go further like this. We should either licence the games or get rid of them asap. Whole mtv administration can end up in jail for illegal gaming, the situation is important, so take action and watch out.
- You better move to another country where ponzi, hyip, crowdfunding etc sites are not regulated so well. Keep yourself away from trouble.
- Another point is that if we do not give jo's account back to him, it is better to arrange default referrer to portfolio, so that we increase daily revenue, less debt. All the people who are referred by Jo now can exchanged to portfolio. Extra 500-1000$ ref commissions daily is not bad.
- Give people an estimated time to do swap so that people spends their money without doubt. We dont know what will happen next, this uncertainty hinders people from spending money. After liquidity report, declare the swap time, or at least tell how much debt there should be to do a swap. I, personally, have some money in my account and fearing of full debt swap. If it is clear, I will either cashout that money or buy shares untill I got no cash.
- I know you will try hard more than you can afford. People love you, respect and trust you. Do not spread pessimism, even if things go wrong for that time. This trabsparency thing is not good at all. You may handle with them without noticing us, you can tell them later after bad news settled into good news.

Thanks for our past conversations, help, for your friendship. I wish you more power.

All the best for the community.

Just wanted to say about Cyprus gambling being legal thats not true as far as i know. We dont even have a casino here (the one on the Turkish occupied area doesnt count...still illegal for the Cypriot government). All these kind of things are illegal even online gambling. We had a lot of those all over Cyprus and they were shut down by the police. Even big online casinos their websites have been blocked by the government.

On 28 June 2001 the Australian Government passed the Interactive Gambling Act 2001 (IGA). The government said that the IGA was important to protect Australians from the harmful effects of gambling. The offense applies to all interactive gambling service providers, whether based in Australia or offshore, whether Australian or foreign owned. The IGA makes it an offence to provide an interactive gambling service to a customer physically present in Australia, but it is not an offence for Australian residents to play poker or casino games online. In stark contrast to the USA, sports betting online is also completely legal in Australia, with many state government licensed sportsbooks in operation, such as CentrebetSportingbet & Betfair.

Germany :
In 2010, the European Court of Justice ruled that the monopolised gambling industry in Germany has to be liberalised. Schleswig-Holstein is the only German state that has already come up with their own gambling bill allowing gambling online. From 2012, casino operators can apply for an online gambling license in this state.[sup][[/sup]

sorry for copy paste from wiki but you can get some idea for legalization

Okey since you want it Marc smile

What about some SEO?

Here is what I had in mind. Lets say I own company for making kitchens.  I want to rank 1 position on google for my keyword. Lets say my keyword would be cheap kitchens in Slovenia.
You make a domain for a year and make simple website linking to my company, you give basic info, address of company, number, maybe even link to my website and guarantee me I will be ranking first.(This all should be country specific) and I pay you 200$. I could order for more keywords but it would be more expensive ofc. Later on you can expand this, make offices and make a calling center in some countries and there is some book where are all businessman numbers(dunno how its called in English smile ) and they can call all those and ask if they want to buy this package etc. (Telephone marketing in general)

Then option 2, people could give their links of websites and our staff would advice what they have to do to rank better, maybe provide some backlinks etc. Or maybe even they would fix it.

Please try Gibraltar, Isle of Man and Belize, all are open for online gaming but with some authenticity and scrutiny.

Another idea (its your idea Marc of giving reward to moderators to motivate  in which i added little thing)
Why dont you give some reward to top 10 user clicking most ads in week or 15 days or month
it will help in reduce the pending ad clicks cool

introduce tasks from crowdflower

people solve tasks, they get 80 %, you get 20 % of money, all people are happy

even better, dont give people money for solved tasks, give them baps wink

you keep the money, make more money from it, and in the end people withdraw cash

I think if you intend to keep or licence out the games. They need to be vastly improved if they are to be taken seriously. I have mentioned before how a couple of the games are not operating correctly. But it seems that as long as they bring in money who cares if they throw up errors. I'm pretty sure that if Sky Vegas, Jackpotjoy or any Casino site took that attitude they would soon be labelled as unprofessional.

I suggest that you either drop the games and all the legal headaches that go with them. Or have them redesigned and properly coded. I don't know whether it would simplify things with regard to the law. But perhaps the games section could be run as a microsite/subsidiary of MTV

Marc, welcome aboard I'm eager and curious to see what the "New MTV" looks like over time, and as long as we're throwing out ideas, I'd like to propose a potentially lucrative, fun, and somewhat addictive addition to the portfolio:

BAP Bids

Similar to QuiBids or DealDash it would be a “penny auction” or what many call a “bidding fee auction”.

From Wikipedia: “A bidding fee auction, also called a penny auction, is a type of all-pay auction in which all participants must pay a non-refundable fee to place each small incremental bid. The auction ends after a period of time, typically ten to twenty seconds, without new bids; the last participant to have placed a bid wins the item and also pays the final bid price, which may be significantly lower than the retail price of the item. The auctioneer makes money in two ways: the fees for each bid and the payment for the winning bid, totalling typically significantly more than the value of the item. Such auctions are typically held over the Internet, rather than in person.

Now the typical auction of this type, auctions off physical merchandise, TVs, iPads, cameras, etc. My feeling is this would be way too much overhead for MTV/PV. We would then auction off only digital packages of our portfolio:
• Packages of BAP in varying amounts, 1,000 up to 100,000 perhaps
• Packages of shares in varying amounts 1 to 1,000
• When head to head games unroll, you could have one of the prizes a seat at the $5 poker table.

This type of auction is very lucrative and the host makes a nice profit. If you’re not familiar with how this works, one again Wikipedia explains,

“Participants pay a fee to purchase bids. Each of the bids increases the price of the item by a small amount, such as one penny (0.01 USD, 1¢, or 0.01 GBP, 1p; hence the name of the auction), and extends the time of the auction by a few seconds. Bid prices vary by site and quantity purchased at a time, but generally cost 10–150 times the price of the bidding increment. The auctioneer receives the money paid for each bid, plus the final price of the item.

For example, if an item worth 1,000 currency units (dollars, euros, etc.) sells at a final price of 60, and a bid costing 1 raises the price of the item by 0.01, the auctioneer receives 6,000 for the 6,000 bids and 60 as the final price, a total of 6,060, a profit of 5,060. If the winning bidder used 150 bids in the process, they would have paid 150 for the bids plus 60 for the final price, a total of 210 and a saving of 790. All the other, losing, bidders collectively paid 5,850 and received nothing.”

As you can see, this style of auction is clearly closer to gambling than a true auction, which makes it a nice fit for our portfolio. If we stick with digital products that we already own, the profit is compounded. If we sold “Bid Units” for 4 BAP and each time you bid it raised the price of the item by 1 BAP, we quadruple our money (and that’s without the final winning price of the item). Bid Units could be purchased straight up for 4 BAP or you could choose to click 3 Bid Unit Ads (essentially the equivalent to 3 .0005 ads) to earn 1 Bid Unit.  Therefore the incentive is the click ads to obtain Bid Units thereby reducing our Ad Load.

Similar to our hosting the Multiplayer Poker, in that we "win" everytime, just by providing the service, there are no "losing days" as there can be with traditional gambling.

@Gordyp

It was part of Jo's long-term plan to have all the games at their own domain. I think it was called "mymoneygames.com". But, we're not quite there yet, and who knows it might not be in the plans anymore.

Well if it's going to be a lot of hassle to iron out the bugs in the code. Then best to drop them then.

There are three games that don't function correctly (for me anyway). In the gamble feature in Money Slot. It operates correctly the first win I gamble. But on subsequent gambles I get an error box which says invalid operation or invalid function (long time since I tried it so can't remember which). The compound boxes game does not work in Internet Explorer. When I click on a box I have to refresh the page to find out if I picked the right one. As for Rock Paper scissors. It tells me I've lost even though It displays the outcome I chose.

A captcha for Paidverts that gives you a random image divided in nine slots. Three or four of those slots, chosen randomly, gets scrambled and the user has to put them in order.

The important thing here are the  images so they don't get too difficult for the users, while the random scrambling should help fight against bots.

Hi Marc,

Congratulations for being our new ceo,

I have an idea with physical products,

Let me explain,
It's profitable to deal with real / physical products it's helps to generate a lot of revenue.
- open a online market place where many products will available, but it will need a lot of investment and labour, we have to deal with manufacturers, supplyers and also make a delivery system. But it could be possible to make a market place only for softwaresale, online cupons etc, which is not required a delivery system or stocking.

- second option is to deal with some big online market places like amazon, eBay etc. When an mtv member buy something through us then we will get some commission and we will reward that member from our commission. The rewards could be cash or some shares or some ftq investment. For example -
A member bought something through mtv which cost is $100 then mtv get a commission like $10, then the member will rewarded with $5 which can be shares or cash or ftq, and mtv generate a revenue of $5.

Marc, what about a simple 2d strategy game? Free for everyone and with some upgrades for money/baps (not anything expensive, so every player on mtv can afford the upgrades and also it might be some upgrades that help you in the game but do not make you 100x times better than anyone).
I have a little idea about it, if you are interested i could explain it deeply.
I have no programming skills but if needed i could get someone to do it for a fixed % of benefits/property, i have some programers friends.
I am thinking about something like travian/ogame. I do not know it but if we have enough strategy gamers on mtv we could find easily our seed users and expand quickly if the game is good. Also we have the dev funding to promote it.
